GOALS

We need to enhance morale across our teachers, staff and broader team.  Over the last several years the teachers and staff have lost confidence in our district leadership.  and that has caused a drop in morale among the people that matter most when it comes to providing a great education to our children.  Its time to turn that around.

We need to improve the financial priorities with a focus on keeping money at school sites and in classrooms.  

We need to focus on Special Education Programs with better continuity and stronger support for teachers.  These programs are essential to providing a strong education to our children who need us most.  We must have continuity in the program and provide more support for those teachers, not less.

We need to enhance our English Language Learners programs.  As enrollment has declined over the last few years, we are seeing a need for English Language Learners at our campuses and support for those students.

By expanding our career pathways to include more options at our school sites.  Students who are able to participate tend to be ready for the future potentials in various career paths.  When more students are able to experience these potential careers, we can be confident that they will have the tools they need to lead a successful future. 

Our local youth sports leagues have hundreds of current and future Covina-Valley Unified School District student athletes.  We should be focused on partnering with them to provide safe practice and game facilities.  Our school district has numerous athletic fields that are currently under utilized.  These student athletes will be great additions to our schools.
